Congratulations to our cheerleaders for winning SILVER in their cheer competition this past weekend! Great job girls!
I'd like to thank Coach Mike Pitzl and the Ascention Eagles for a really great game Saturday. We understand that the score favored us in the end, but the Eagles played very, very tough all day. They are a very althletic team that is well coached and very prepared.
Our guys went into halftime trailing the Eagles 7-6. That 7-6 halftime lead by the Eagles was only the second time we'd had been trailing a team at halftime all season....so they had our full attention going into the second half. It was cold and we were getting banged up...but our guys rallied and put a nice 4th quarter score on the Eagles to go up 13-7.
From there our guys played tough defense, made big plays and the good guys held on to win 13-7.
The coaches and I are very proud of our guys. We had a memorable season, had great support from everyone and learned a little bit about football and ourselves along the way.
