2008 MUSTANGS
updated 11/15/08

Mustangs great season! Have a good winter and try to come out for 7-7 this spring. Thank you Doug, Eric, Harold, John, Mark for your help this season with the boys.

    FYI:
During the spring months of 2009 the BVFC  will offer 7 on 7 football. This is all passing - touch football just like the high school plays in the summer. The cost will be between $75-100 dollars. There will be 8 to 10 games, we will play two games back to back on Sat maybe a few Sun. This does run during other sports in the spring like baseball and soccer, but we had kids that did both last year or would play on game and leave to go to there other sport.  We will practice only (1 ) time and that will be the Sunday before the start of the season so the boys know the rules. This is a very laid back fun time for the boys.  Last year or second graders played against second and third grade teams and we were the only second grade team to beat third grade teams. The boys had a blast doing this and it helped a lot with their passing, catching and defensive skills. I'll send more info as we get.

2009 4th Grade Tackle Football

Sometime in Feb. I'll send out an email about tackle football. There are a lot of things the coaches will have to go over in the next few months and we will desided what route we are going to take after the Feb. BVFC board meeting to see if there are any new rules or changes on team formations before we make a choice on what we want to do as a team. We will have about three different choices that can be made and we what to make sure that we make the right one for each and every player to help their growth as a football player and youth. There are different levels of play starting in the forth grade with D1 being the most competative , then there is D2 which is a step down. Each one has certain rules that have to be met. There is also the V/JV format .
