TeamNotes:
Hello Parents!

Our end of the year football party is going to be next Sunday, November 8th at 6:30 at Wil Jennys.  Hope to see everyone there!!

Thanks,
Becky Schroeder

Some Simple Rules and Instructions from the league for us to follow to ensure we all enjoy the season.

  • Remember to have fun .    This is youth football.    We are setting an example for our playerss.   We are here to make this game enjoyable for the kids on our sideline and the one across from us.   Sportsmanship is the most important factor of the game .
  • Everything we say and do will always be heard.   Watch our language and actions.
  • Clean up our sideline.   Leave it in better condition than you found it.   Ask your parents to use trash cans at each site.
  • When our game is over, be courteous to the next teams and move from the sideline as quickly as possible.
  • No Smoking allowed in the stands/bleachers for the Blue Valley Schools.
  • NO PETS ALLOWED .    That means no purse Yorkies, no puppies, snakes, ferrets or other four legged creatures.   If we see one on our sideline, we’ll interrupt the game to have you remove them.
  • NO ONE CAN WATCH GAMES FROM THE TRACK.   Every spectator must view games from the stands/bleachers.  If we see one on our sideline, we’ll interrupt the game to have you removed.
  • Parents can NOT take pictures during the game on the track or field.    If we see one on our sideline, we’ll interrupt the game to have you removed .
  • Roster check.    If you want to check an opponents roster, have an assistant from your team politely ask to see their roster before the game.    If there is an issue, it must be resolved before the game.   No roster checks after the ball is snapped.
  • Sideline passes.   Coaches. t hey will be with the field mgrs for the 9/12/09 game.   If you are playing in MO, they won’t have them available.    Make 1 person responsible for collecting them after each game.    You can not be on the field without one.   Also, coaches attach your NYSCA card to the lanyard or have the receipt with you during games.
  • PARENTS.    Please watch your kids.    We’ve already had some property damage at one of the district stadiums, which we will have to pay for. I know you want to watch the games, but we can’t have the kids using the bathrooms for hide and seek, running on the soccer fields, playing on field or climbing on construction equipment.
  • Sidelines.    Coaches, we can’t have people on the sidelines that are not players or approved coaches.    It’s great to have your son be a ball boy.   But what happens when a play goes out of bounds, and takes your kid out with it ?   Look on You Tube for that answer.    If you are Var/JV, the kids that are not playing must be out of uniform and sitting.    Not running around the sidelines throwing footballs.
  • Game time.   Please be on time, and give our kids plenty of time to warm up.   We won’t start games more than 15 min prior to our scheduled start time.
  • Home team is listed first on the schedule.    Line up according to the scoreboard.    The winning coach needs to report the score to the field mgrs table.    They don’t know us from the opponent, so be diligent in getting the scores reported.    Home team must also supply 2 people for the chains, visitors 1 for the down box.   Get them on the field by the time the coin toss takes place.   They are part of the referee crew, so no coaching from the sidelines.    They will and can be removed for coaching, instructing, berating the refs, using cell phones, etc.
  • Referees.   Only the head coach can ask a question of the white hat.   Ask your question, get your answer, and then move on.   Coaches and referees have the opportunity to “grade” each other after the game.   See the field mgrs.

  Thank you Coaches:

The Parents would like to thank Tim the assistant coaches   Scott Green, Rodney Franey, Chris Mankle, Greg Lorie and Kelly Schroeder for all of the  time and effort they will put into this season.
